Safety Line Installation

LB Wire Ropes employees experienced and qualified staff to install, inspect and test anchor points and fall arrest systems. We use reputable parts and equipment so you can be sure that your safety line and anchor points will perform when required. Products include: – Permanent horizontal safety lines – Permanent vertical safety lines – Permanent installed anchor points.

Equipment Repair

Lifting equipment may be damaged through use or through general wear and tear. For this reason LB Wire Ropes has a fully equipped workshop and stock a wide range of spare parts to service and repair damaged equipment to assist you getting the maximum life from your equipment, including chain slings, chain blocks, lever blocks, wire rope winches and plate clamps. Equipment is inspected, problems identified and repaired, and a proof load carried out.

Inspection and Testing

LB Wire Ropes operates a Class A 150 tonne 13m test bed. We perform a range of inspection and testing services to ensure your equipment is in date and in sound working order. Our team of inspection and testing officers can come to your site to complete inspections or inspect your equipment in our in-house laboratory. Test certificates are provided in accordance with the relevant standard and we can maintain a list of your equipment in a gear register.

Gear Registers

LB Wire Ropes maintains gear registers for our customers to assist tracking of your equipment and also for providing a means to monitor inspection intervals under statutory requirements.

Wire Rope Splicing

LB Wire Ropes employ fully trained and qualified riggers to perform a variety of wire rope splicing services. Our services are not limited to but include:
– Eye splices using the Le Blanc splice for applications where a ferrule is not desirable.
– Flemish eye splices for mining and marine applications.
– Long splice to join ropes for use in dog tracks, Ferris wheels or conveyor systems.
– Machine splicing of steel, aluminium, copper and stainless steel fittings.

Fibre Rope Splicing

LB Wire Ropes employ fully trained and qualified riggers to perform a variety of fibre rope splicing services. Our services are not limited to but include:
– 3 strand “Hawser Lay” eye splice, short splice and back splice.
– Double braid eye splice.
– 8, 12 & 16 strand eye splices.

Crane and Winch Re-roping

LB Wire Ropes employees trained and qualified riggers to crop or replace the wire rope on your crane or winch. We service a range of trucks from tow trucks to mobile cranes.
