Description
HAMMA Mega-strand is used extensively in the architectural industries. It is available in stainless steel Grade 316 with 1×37 configurations for cable diameter 20mm – 28mm and 1×61 configurations for cable diameter 30mm – 42mm. HAMMA Mega has the following key characteristics: low stretch, non-flexible, smooth finish, wide range of cable size, compatible with both splicing and swaging, and good corrosion resistance.
In general terms, HAMMA Mega is constructed ideally to suit roll swaging but can be used with splice fittings. Most commonly used with hydraulically swaged fittings; not suitable for use with thimble or ferrule type swages.
Specific industry usage include: Architectural Industry – Glass façade tension cable, Truss support cable, Canopy extension cable and Roof support cables.
